SEMA TRUCK CONCEPTS TO CHECK OUT

November 4, 2019

It’s that time of year again…you know the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association or more popularly known SEMA show kicks off this week in Las Vegas. SEMA is the annual product showcase for the automotive aftermarket parts trade and is also a great opportunity for truck manufacturers to roll out some really cool concept builds and upcoming model updates. For example, at this year’s SEMA dealers can get a glimpse of Ford’s all new 2020 Super Duty truck series which will debut at the end of this month. Ford will offer the Super Duty in a brand-new Tremor series which is an off-road trim package that includes a concealed winch in the bumper, 2 inch lift, locking rear differential and Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires. One of the custom diesel truck builds BDS Suspension is bringing to SEMA is the Ford F-350 Super Duty Crew Cab XLT Overlanding model. This 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 powered overlanding machine comes equipped with a 4-inch radius-arm suspension lift and Fox springs and shocks that help steer the ginormous 40-inch-diameter Mickey Thompson tires. Overlanding amenities for this beast also include a refrigerator and power inverter to drive juice to needed accessories as well as being outfitted with an air compressor, gas grille with two burners, and a tent for sleeping on top.

Not to be outdone by Ford, Dodge will also bring several innovative builds to SEMA not the least of which is the MOPAR Ram 1500 Rebel OTG (Off the Grid). Dodge’s overlanding submission is powered by a 3.0-liter V-6 EcoDiesel engine that delivers precision torque and grip. A rooftop tent anyone to go along with your diesel power train? This Dodge has got that and more with a collapsible awning and rear mounted propane tank for the gas powered stove and a Dometic refrigerator to keep your vittles fresh. The bumper has a 10,000 pound Warn Winch and four high-power LED off-road lights. Extended range for overlanding is provided through the 33-gallon capacity fuel tank (increased from 26-gallon standard capacity).  A two-inch lift kit and Goodyear MT/R Kevlar tires give this Dodge beast the necessary equipment for serious off-roading.

At FASS, we especially applaud the two diesel offerings and remember, FASS is committed to your dealer satisfaction and providing the best fuel air separation system solutions for your diesel truck and we hope to see you at the SEMA show!
